　本書では、中国明代に成立した古典小説『封神演義』百回本を三、四分の一程度の分量に、編集を加えて読みやすく抄訳にしてあります。
　固有名詞や武器等の名称に関しては明代の「鐘伯敬先生批評封神演義二十巻本」を参照しました。ただし、最後の封神榜は、明代のものと清代のものでかなり異なるので、小説としての完成度を考えて、登場人物の名前が多く挙げられている清代の「四雪草堂本」を基本にしました。
　初版以降、適宜、改訂を加えています。最新のものをどうぞ。
